The crowds on the main street of
Taormina didn't keep these cats from their daily rounds.
This Taormina kitty had charmed her way into a
daily meal from a restaurant owner.
But this comfortable cat slept anywhere she
pleased in a Taormina shop specializing in beautiful hand-painted
pottery.
Guess these little beggars at the Siracusa historic site figured if
they just took it easy someone would notice it was lunch time.

The site was filled with Roman mosaics being
renovated but no fountain for this thirsty tabby to get a drink.
This charmer on the
Island of Ortigiai in Siracusa was our very favorite, maybe because
he reminded us of an old friend.
Who could resist this sweet face,
that earned him some calamari.
You may be walking among the trash in quaint
mountain-top Castelmola, but you can still have a sense of style.
Of course, you have look like you own the
streets if you want to be top cat in Castelmola.
The fishing and tourist village of Cefalu has
many side streets and kind people feeding the cats.
Of course there were some dogs around too.
Generally mellow, like those above at Agrigento...
... or playful like these pups on the Island
of Mozia.
