Churches, tiles
and the ship

All beautiful in their own ways

The church in the village of Sete Cidades was in a park-like setting. The light, clean inside provides an inspiring place to worship.

Nossa Sehnora da Conceicao in Santa Cruz, Flores, was one of the many beautiful churches we saw during our visit, but nothing compared to its tiled bapistry.

Side walks and malls were often paved in small black and white stone tiles, as seen, from left, in Horta on Faial, Lajes on Pico and Velas on Sao Jorge.

Linblad's 120-passenger MS Endeavour docked at Horta, Faial.

Crews from ships, including the previous tour of ours, leave their marks on the walls at the harbors of the Azores.
