Tobago and the Blue Waters Inn had more of an Island feel ... with its tree-lined driveway, sea views of Little Tobago and sandy beach
The glass-bottom boat we'd take to Little Tobago. (JD) The village was nearby. Many island homes are built on steep hillsides and had been threatened, or destroyed, by serious recent mud slides.
The slides had hit Little Tobago Island, too., leaving a tricky trail. This sign illustrates how serious they are about protecting this island wildlife sanctuary. Looks like a "just" a rooster, but it's actually a descendent of the Jungle Fowl brought to live on the Island. (JD) Boobies, terns and Tropicbirds could be seen from the hilltop vantage point on Little Tobago. (JD)
Heading back to Tobago. (JD) Tobago is home to  the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere, founded in 1765. The dense growth provided many intriguing but illusive targets for us birdwatchers.
