
HOT DRUNKEN BANANAS
4 bananas
5 Tblsp. rum, pref. dark
3 Tblsp. brown sugar
1/2 teas. allspice
2 Tblsp. lemon or lime juice
Butter (important for flavor)
3 Tblsp. cold water
Peel and cut bananas in half lengthwise. Place in a well-greased casserole or
square pan. Mix cinnamon and allspice with sugar. Sprinkle over bananas.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and rum. Dot with butter. Add cold water. Bake at 350
degrees for 45 minutes, turning banana pieces carefully from time to time. Serve
warm with ice cream or Cool Whip.
